I just had to take a quick break to share this moment in our life.
Jack has been having some funny nap times lately. I don’t know if he’s growing out of the nap phase of life or what . . . I sure sure sure hope not!! Anyways, yesterday, I put him down at his usual time, but for THREE hours I heard him talking and playing in his room. Several times I went in to put him back in his bed, and several times I walked in to find that he’d just brought his toys up into his bed with him. What’s a mother to do? Hard to complain about a kid that’s playing quietly by himself for so long, right? He was content and so was I because I was still getting the time I need in the afternoon to get things done. Well, when I finally went back in to check on him later, he was sleeping, but I found his Toy Story book in a shredded pile on his bed. Sad, huh? I guess the innocent playing wasn’t quite so innocent after all.

Then today . . . repeat of yesterday. I heard him playing in his room for awhile. But after about an hour, it was mysteriously quiet behind his bedroom door. I peeked in and found this . . .

I guess he got tired of drawing.
And just so I don’t leave out my cute Katie Bug . . . here’s a picture of the outfit she wore to church on Sunday. If you’re from the Larsen family, you should recognize it. If it gets passed on to a few more little girls, it will become a family heirloom I think. Thanks, Allison, for sharing it with all your little cousins!

I’ve been meaning to post this CHEATER Thanksgiving post for awhile now. We had a lovely Thanksgiving up in Grass Valley with lots (BUT NOT ALL) of the people we love. I was going to include a list of all the things I’m thankful for but it’s too long and I’m low on time. Instead, I refer to “our verse” that the Millett family has always loved.
Psalm 84:11 “No good thing does He withold from those who walk uprightly.”
We are thankful for another year FULL of good things. Praise the Lord!
